  1. I love how this chapter plays tribute to a character that I feel was kind of disrespected in the revival seasons. I always loved her and Dogget, as well as their relation, and she was always a very special and loyal support to Scully, specially. This story really makes us undestand, or at least, try to be more empathic to her motives and the trap she ended up falling into, and (SPOILER) I love the comparison that it is made between her choice and the one her mother had to do, both to find the best way the thought they had under their circumstances to protect the people they loved. Wonderful job, as always!
Just one question, who is Alexis Erickson? I understand she is some kind of Kersh´ assistant, but I don´t know if she is a character that you guys created or if that I don´t remember her.

Thank you, and I can´t wait to read the next one in a couple of days!!

    1. Thank you for your kind words! Alexis Erickson is an original character that is currently filling A.D. Skinner’s shoes. So glad you enjoyed the story. 🙂 -Valerie

  2. This was a very good story, told in a complex way. The adoption parallels really landed for me. I really like how vSeason 12 is handling the Monica Reyes character, in general. #ReyesRedemption

My one critique is that I think this story would’ve worked even better if it had followed “Resurgence” as the second episode of the vSeason. It feels like the second half of the premiere, to me, or the other side of that story. But that’s a very minor quibble.
